Hotzone

A hotzone is a network-connected area that provides users with wireless Internet access via Wi-Fi. It can cover locations like campuses, cities, and spaces in between, with multiple hotspots offering access. Hotzones not only offer Internet access but also services like Voice over IP and location-based information. Wi-Fi access points enable user connectivity, and various technologies, including WiMAX, cable, or ADSL, can link these access points to the Internet.
