HIPERMAN

HIPERMAN, short for High Performance Radio Metropolitan Area Network, is a European broadband standard created by the European Telecommunications Standard Institute (ETSI) BRAN group. It offers Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) in the radio frequency range of 2 GHz to 11 GHz, serving as an alternative to the IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX) standard. HIPERMAN closely collaborates with IEEE 802.16 and employs OFDM technology. It supports point-multipoint (PMP) and Mesh network setups, as well as both FDD and TDD frequency allocations.
